KICK OFF!

KICK OFF!

Hertha legend "Zecke" discusses Hertha's Bundesliga games! This week: SC Freiburg away.
Berlin - Every football club has its legend. Without doubt Hertha BSC's is Andreas "Zecke" Neuendorf. He has blue and white blood coursing through his veins. He has been at Hertha for 15 years, making 278 appearances, scoring 28 goals in the process. Everyone knows he has his heart in the right place and is a true "Berliner" if ever there was one. This season "Zecke has become a "football pensioner" working within the club since hanging up his boots last term. He is still very opinionated and will tell us all how he sees his beloved Hertha's games going before each matchday in the 2014/15 season. No doubt he will play with his cards on the table. He will be honest, open and probably sometimes a little tongue in cheek - typical "Zecke"! So what does that mean for opponents? Watch out! "Zecke" will pull no punches and take no prisoners as he tells it as it is... Read here his feelings ahead of matchday 4.

"Freiburg, Black Forest, a nice place. A really nice place to take points from, and we have to start doing that right now. As you all know I am always a positive thinking guy and hope that my positivity is infectious. Let's imagine a win in Freiburg for a moment...

Yeeeees :)

I reckon SC Freiburg are similar to Mainz. A team void of big name stars at their best when they function as a unit. They run, work and fight. I hope that against us Freiburg have only individualists on the pitch and that we can grow closer together as a team this week.

It hurts, but you learn from defeats - and we have had two of them to learn from so far this season. Forget them! Battle your way into the game and win through maximum effort as a team.

Team: Everyone trained this week with the exception of our trio of long term injured men. The new signings and the rest of the lads have got to know each other better this week and want to prove it against Freiburg! Hats off to any fans travelling to the Black Forest. I'm sure they will as usual get right behind the team.

Streich - The Freiburg coach and a one off;) - I would be delighted to see him jumping up and down on the touchline in frustration at the Stadion an der Schwarzwaldstraße against us on Friday night. Sadly he and his team are always capable of springing a surprise. So what! We will surprise him this time around with a superb strong Hertha performance from a team keen to make good what has happened so far.

I wouldn't like to be in Freiburg's skin. Not only because they are situated around 600km from the best city in the world (our Berlin), but because they face a Hertha side hungry for success. My stomach is rumbling and crying out for points. Lets fill it - with three points...

I really hope to go into this weekend with three points taken in Freiburg on Friday night.

HaHoHe."
