KICK OFF!
KICK OFF!

Berlin - Every football club has its legend. Without doubt Hertha BSC's is Andreas "Zecke" Neuendorf. He has blue and white blood coursing through his veins. He has been at Hertha for 15 years, making 278 appearances, scoring 28 goals in the process. Everyone knows he has his heart in the right place and is a true "Berliner" if ever there was one. This season "Zecke has become a "football pensioner" working within the club since hanging up his boots last term. He is still very opinionated and will tell us all how he sees his beloved Hertha's games going before each matchday in the 2014/15 season. No doubt he will play with his cards on the table. He will be honest, open and probably sometimes a little tongue in cheek - typical "Zecke"! So what does that mean for opponents? Watch out! ""Zecke" will pull no punches and take no prisoners as he tells it as it is... Read here his thoughts ahead of matchday 6.
One more game to go in the latest "English" week. After taking a point in Freiburg and three at home to VfL Wolfsburg, we now travel south to take on Augsburg. I am still impressed by what happened on Wednesday. Because things went so well on that night, we now want our first three points from an away game - and why not. Our lads know how to do it. I repeat: Fight your way into the game and win - like against the Wolves!
It has never been easy to win in Augsburg, even if our draw there last season maintained our Bundesliga status. We want more this time around. I agree with the experts who say that tiny things decide games. If their is anyone who knows how to get the final 1% effort from his players it is our coach Jos Luhukay.
Augsburg had an exceptional 2013/14 season. It was very impressive to see how they created so much from so little. There, we must fight hard for every ball like we do when playing at home! It should be slightly easier with our former Augsburg players and of course Jos Luhukay. We know them well. It should act as extra motivation for our lads to play against their former club on Sunday (28.09.14, 3.30 pm).
I think that Augsburg will give us a decent welcome. After all, Luhukay won promotion with them and kept them in the top flight for a season before moving to Hertha BSC. It will be a special occasion for the Dutchman and his former club. I can't wait for the game because I'm certain that we will give no more points needlessly away or lose games through not being prepared to give everything on the pitch. May the best team win on Sunday - us!
So lads, all three points please! Ha Ho He!
