KICK OFF!
KICK OFF!

Hertha legend "Zecke" reviews Hertha's Bundesliga games! This time: Hamburger SV at home.
Berlin - Every football club has its legend. Without doubt Hertha BSC's is Andreas "Zecke" Neuendorf. He has blue and white blood coursing through his veins. He has been at Hertha for 15 years, making 278 appearances, scoring 28 goals in the process. Everyone knows he has his heart in the right place and is a true "Berliner" if ever there was one. This season "Zecke has become a "football pensioner" working within the club since hanging up his boots last term. He is still very opinionated and will tell us all how he sees his beloved Hertha's games going before each matchday in the 2014/15 season. No doubt he will play with his cards on the table. He will be honest, open and probably sometimes a little tongue in cheek - typical "Zecke"! So what does that mean for opponents? Watch out! "Zecke" will pull no punches and take no prisoners as he tells it as it is... Read here his thoughts ahead of matchday 9.
"Another home game at long last! We were made to wait a while because of the break for international games before we could see our lads in action at the Olympic stadium again. If you ask me, I have fond memories of our last home game: The win over Stuttgart was not only deserved but also crucial in order to enter that break on a positive note. Even though we lost 0-2 at Schalke I like the way we played...
If we (with the best fans in the world behind us) can take the way we played in Gelsenkirchen and combine it with our recent form at home we can extend our fine home run! Okay, Hamburg have stabilised the ship with their new head coach in charge and achieved a couple of fine results by beating Dortmund away and taking a point off Hoffenheim last time out.
But we must do one thing: Only look to our own game. Our coach Jos Luhukay has a team capable of keeping all three points here in Berlin on Saturday. One thing is also for sure: That our former HSV players will be pulling out all the stops to put one over on their former club, which will add motivation to our team! I remember from my playing days what it is like to face a former club. It is really special. We have several former HSV men at our club: Skjelbred, Ndjeng, Ben-Hatira... even keeper coach Richie Golz might have a couple of useful tips. I am not worried at all…
On the other hand we welcome Jaroslav Drobny, Gojko Kacar and of course Pierre-Michel Lasogga back to Berlin. I am looking forward to seeing them again even Pierre. I hope he gets a decent reception, after all he was instrumental in firing us back to the top flight. I don’t think he will be having much fun on Saturday though, our defenders know him inside out and will have set up a plan to keep him quiet.
As I said. In a nutshell it is all down to us. If we can continue our recent home form the points are going nowhere! If the atmosphere is anything like it was against Wiolfsburg and Stuttgart I worry even less. So lets go Hertha, fight hard and win! Ha Ho He!"
