Hertha legend "Zecke" tells us how he thinks the lads will do! This time: Mighty Borussia Dortmund at home!
Berlin - "Zecke", a Hertha player for 15 years gives us his view on opponents ahead of each Bundesliga matchday.
"Hey friends, only three games to go this year. The first one is Dortmund’s visit to, our Olympic stadium. BVB are our neighbours in the Bundesliga table, but we know what we need to do to get where we need to be. We all know that Dortmund won’t be in the drop zone for long, neither will we!
Former Eduard Geyer was once asked what his goals were for the season. He answered: "The Bundesliga title." And "Ede" was right too. Why count the teams you expect to lose against and where you may drop points before the start of the season?
That is how we must approach the visit of Dortmund! Every game begins at 0-0 they say.
BVB had loads of chances against a strong Hoffenheim side. Now they have emerged from their dip in form and can be considered to be on a similar level to Bayern Munich. We had a plan as we played Bayern a fortnight ago which almost came off. We must do the same against Dortmund.
To do that our keeper Thomas Kraft needs to maintain the form he has shown in recent weeks. We must not make little mistakes while we are defending and must be brave going forward. That way we might see Dortmund boss Jürgen Klopp losing his cool on the touchline. I like Klopp as a coach: But not enough to let him have our points though. Hahohe!"
