Hertha legend 'Zecke' tells us how he thinks the lads will do! This time: Eintracht Frankfurt away!
Berlin - 'Zecke', a Hertha player for 15 years gives us his view on opponents ahead of each Bundesliga matchday.
"I said ahead of the Dortmund game that Hertha BSC face three "cup finals" before the winter break. I think we mastered the first one superbly, giving us three from a possible nine points in the bag and perfect for team confidence ahead of our Bundesliga matchday 16 trip to Eintacht Frankfurt on Wednesday night. It would be great to take something home with us from Frankfurt so don't come home empty handed lads!
The main thing which comes to mind when I think of Frankfurt this season is: Great up front but not at the back. They have netted 29 goals in the league so far this season, the second best tally in the top flight. Their defence is almost the opposite having conceded a whopping 29 goals in 15 matches so far. In Alex Meier they have the league's top scorer. In a nutshell, we must defend together as a unit like we did so well against Dortmund. If we can quickly switch from defence to attack we can pose them problems with our tempo men down the wings.
We have only won this season by being strong in the tackle. We will need to do just that on Wednesday night. In a season where so many teams are bunched together in the table, the team with the strongest will to win will triumph. I am very confident and tell you it will be our week! Hahohe!"
