Hertha legend 'Zecke' Neuendorf tells us how he thinks the lads will do! This time: TSG Hoffenheim at home!
Berlin - 'Zecke', a Hertha player for 15 years gives us his view on opponents ahead of each Bundesliga matchday.
"Hertha BSC entertain TSG Hoffenheim in the final game of 2014, and I can promise you all one thing: It will be an even game at the Olympic stadium and a very tight affair.
Hoffenheim are capable of creating any side problems on their day. The mark their head coach Markus Gisdol has put on the team is clearly visible. TSG work hard against the ball and are ever-dangerous as they swith from defence to attack and break at lightning pace. The likes of Firmino, Schwegler to name but two are technically gifted players. They have to realise early on that we are determined to keep all three points in Berlin! Once again we have to show a lot of bite and plenty of effort to find our way into the game.
We managed to do just that in front of a bumper crowd against Borussia Dortmund in our last home game. The Olympic stadium will not be sold out so close to Christmas, which makes the support that is there so much more important for us! I love to reflect on the times we have achieved good results by the fans and team sticking together.
In all honesty, we have dropped unnecessary points during the first half of the season. Those points are gone and in the past. That is why we must round off this year of ups and downs on a positive note.
We have to stick together for 90 minutes plus injury time to get all three points! That way we can all have a nice Christmas. Hahohe!"
