Hertha legend 'Zecke' Neuendorf tells us how he thinks the lads will do! This time: 1. FSV Mainz 05 away!
Berlin - 'Zecke', a Hertha player for 15 years gives us his view on opponents ahead of each Bundesliga matchday.
"That's the way it goes in football sometimes - Jos Luhukay and his coaching staff are no longer at the club. We must not forget that they took charge during a tough period and did a wonderful job. Who could ever forget the record promotion of 2013? There followed a superb first half of the season and top flight retention. Sadly we haven't won enough points over the past 12 months.
Now its Pal Dardai's turn at the helm! But it is not all about him, but far more our beloved Hertha! What Pal stands for: Fight, a strong will, effort and passion. He has always given 100%, which is exactly what we need in our coming games against Mainz, Freiburg, Wolfsburg, Augsburg etc. Each of our remaining games are a cup final!
I don't want to say anything about Mainz: It's our turn! Regardless of who we face. We could have faced Bayern next but the need for points remains the same. All for one and one for all. That has to be our battle cry. Pal is a young coach but his mind is full of experience. He is not Hungary's national team coach for nothing, without ever having coached a club side. I trust Pal 100%. He will do it for us. HaHoHe!"
