Hertha cult midfielder 'Zecke' says how he thinks the Hamburg trip will go.
Berlin - 'Zecke' - Hertha legend, casts an eye over Hertha's next opponents.
"We are cxurrently on a three-game unbeaten run, and that run didn't happen by coincidence. The work being done by the club coaching staff is paying off the further the season progresses, even though we didn't exactly hog the ball for 90 minutes or play with blinding skill. We have developed a method which can cause opponents a major problem.
We are not allowing many shots on goal, we are gritty and ever-improving when switching from defence to attack. That aspect was focused on during training. Our recent success is for all to see and long may it continue. We just have to carry on collecting points and make sure that in the end we finish ahead of at least three other clubs in the table.
Add to that: HSV are stood with their backs to the wall. It will be a fascinating game. We have looked good against them in recent encounters. I personally wouldn't mind if things continued that way. Hopefully we have learned from the mistakes made in the relegation battle in Freiburg. We were too naive that day. When I look at the lads now I see a group ready to run and fight until they have holes in their socks.
Just like P·l D·rdai used to do. If we can produce a cohesive team performance, it doesn't matter who starts the game or comes on later from the bench. In the end all that counts is the result. If we are unable to win, we should at least take a point home with us. The lads have to be able to say afterwards that they had given everything. HaHoHe!"
