Hertha legend 'Zecke' Neuendorf tells us how he thinks the lads will do! This time: Borussia Dortmund away!
Berlin - 'Zecke', 15 years a Hertha player, looks ahead to each matchday and tells us how things might turn out.
"Off to Dortmund! Borussia are one of the strongest teams in the Bundesliga - certainly since the winter break. Dortmund are one of the best three teams - the other two being Bayern Munich and the other Borussia from Mönchengladbach, against whom we have shown this season that we can give them a game. It is a shame that we never took anything from those matches but the lads gave a good account of themselves. We can draw confidence from our last two performances just like we did before our seven game unbeaten run.
Of course Borussia aere the pre-match favourites, they really are a fine side. We will have to be wary of their pace men and not allow them too many chances. They will be keen to give their outbound coach Jürgen Klopp a rousing send off in front of over 80,000 fans at the Signal Iduna Park. Although their season has not gone to plan, Dortmund have recently shown what they are capable of - they are within touching distance of the EuropaLeague places and have reached the DFB Cup final at our Olympic stadium in Berlin...
Like I said, our recent results allow us to approach the game with confidence. If we can produce a tight team performance for the full 90 minutes and of course remain fully focused, we are in with a chance of taking something from the game. Success in Dortmund would set us up nicely for our final two games of the season from which we hope to retain top flight status. Maybe we can do so in Dortmund... Lets go! Ha Ho He!"
