Kraft extends Hertha deal

Goalkeeper has been at the club since 2011 and has today renewed his current deal.
Berlin- Herthas’s goalkeeping situation for next year is now confirmed. Thomas Kraft, whose current deal in the capital was set to expire at the end of this season, will join Rune Jarstein in Pal Dardai’s ranks for next season.
“Thomas is a model professional, who gives everything in training and works hard every day. We are very pleased he has decided to remain with us,” said sporting director Michael Preetz. The man himself was also very positive about the deal: “I have been here nearly six years and I feel very at home here with the club and the city itself. I’m satisfied with my decision and hope I can continue to be a part of the development of this club.
Kraft arrived at BSC from Bayern München, making his Bundesliga debut for the Bavarian club as well as becoming German champion and playing in the Champions League. After relegation with Hertha in 2012 he was an instrumental figure in helping Hertha return to Germany’s top footballing table a year later. Time in goal has been limited since September 15 when he sustained a shoulder injury, but he is still a favourite with Pal Dardai, who has high praise for Kraft’s application and reliability.
