Jarstein fit for Liverpool

Berlin- A welcome guest returned to Schenckendorffplatz on Thursday as Pal Dardai and his boys stepped up their training ahead of this weekend’s game with Liverpool: The sunshine. The 90 minute session included Peter Pekarik and Mathew Leckie, who had missed some of the recent workouts. The rest of the squad were also joined by Rune Jarstein and Jonathan Klinsmann. “The situation between the posts now looks a lot better.” The third goalkeeper in the ranks, Thomas Kraft, continues to work individually.
Liverpool to provide first yardstick
The return of those returning, particularly Jarstein, is ideal, especially with the anniversary game with Liverpool on the horizon for this Saturday. “It looks like Rune will be ready for Saturday,” said Dardai, who will select a squad of 20 for the match. “We are looking forward to Liverpool, it will be our first friendly match up where we can really put into practice what we have been working on and look to play our strongest eleven. Julian Schieber and Niklas Stark will definitely not play a part, while Jordan Torunarigha and Sebastian Langkamp must wait on the decision of the athletic coach Hendrik Vieth. Davie Selke will be out for the next few weeks. The under-21 Euros champion is only allowed to complete light running while the rest of the team will be divided up into two groups. “One will work on fitness, the other group will go running,” explained Dardai.
