"We fought until the end."

Berlin- Read what those involved had to say about Hertha’s eventuful 3-3 draw with Wolfsburg on Sunday.
Pal Dárdai: We started the game exactly as we had planned to. But after we went ahead we stopped playing football and started to get deeper and deeper. We didn’t show enough movement after winning the ball in that period either. We had some string words at half time and were better after the break. The team kept fighting when behind and got their reward with the equaliser and the point.
Martin Schmidt: When you look at the stats it’s hard to see how we have not won that game. I am proud of this team because they tried and tried to find a solution by playing football. They did so much right and we are not far away from turning these draws into wins. This game was another step in the right direction and we can take a lot away in terms of our development. We just made two mistakes too many tonight.
Vedad Ibisevic: If you look at the whole game it was a good point for us. They were very strong and could have won the game. We put ourselves under a lot of pressure in the opening 15, 20 minutes despite taking the early lead. We showed so much character towards the end and we deserved the draw.
Salomon Kalou: It was a fantastic Sunday evening for the neutral. We are pleased to have got something from the game from a losing position. We played too many long balls after taking the lead and that did not help us. We all know what Vedad can do but you cannot expect to score in every game. He had the chance and took it, which is the sign of a good striker.
Davie Selke: That was a tough game against a tough oponent. We lost a little bit of our thread in the opening half. It was always agreed that I would start on the bench – I am still on the road to full fitness after the injury. Vedad did well today and got the goal and I am delighted I could help the team. The ball fell to me in front of goal and I just had to do the rest. I’m glad we could take a point from this game. It’s good we’ve able to keep going of late, even if we could have played better and made the last few games look even better.
Sebastian Langkamp: It’s been a while since I experienced a game like that. We had a bit of fortune that we only went in one down at half time. We have to compliment our offensive moments because it looked good even if the balance between defence and attack was missing a bit today. We will need to work on that in the coming weeks. But it was a good point for the moral, because we came from behind twice.
Niklas Stark: We started well with the early goal but then we switched off and didn’t show our quality. Perhaps because we forgot how to get in behind and use the required aggression. But we did that so much better in the second half and we’ll take a point. I felt a knock on my knee but I don’t know any more than that. We’ll have to wait for the results of the tests.
