"Delighted to get an away win after so long."

Hertha players and coaches react to Sunday evening’s victory in Cologne.
Köln – The relief was clear to see at full time, as Hertha celebrated a long overdue three points on the road. Here’s what Pal Dardai and his players made of Sunday’s 2-0 victory of 1. FC Köln.
Pál Dárdai (Trainer Hertha BSC): Respect to my team for getting the result. I am delighted to get an away win after so long. We carried out our gameplan well, stay compact and patient. We got the goals at good times. We know they are not in the best position, but we just focused on us.
We are very proud of the young lads who played today: Arne Maier, Maxi Mittelstädt and Jordan Torunarigha. It was worth playing those guys in the Europa League. We may be out but we collected so much experience.
Mitchell Weiser: We knew it would not be an easy game and tried to fight for everything from the first whistle. We knew they would be up for anything as well. We got the goals at the right time and didn’t let them get in behind either and as a result we deserved the win. It was important for us because of the away record for a lot of this year and it helps our moral too. The points were necessary today.
Vedad Ibisevic: We were desperate to end the run of winless games away from home and felt before the game that this was the perfect time. We knew they were nto at full strength btu did not let that affect our preparations because you never what can happen. Our young players did so well, and all they are lacking now is that bit of experience. Now we have to take a quick breather because the last few games have been intense and get ready for a strong Frankfurt side next week. We must be ready to go again.
Per Skjelbred: That was no easy game. You never know what to expect in the Bundesliga but we were very good all round today. We were able to find the right balance between defence and attack. We now have 17 points and have to look to build on that in the coming weeks. It was a tough start for their young lad Bisseck. I wished him all the best after the game. I was young when I made my debut but the stadium in Norway was a lot smaller than this one. He will find his way quickly, I am sure of that.
