"Why did we stop playing after 20 minutes?"

Berlin – It was a bad day at the office for Hertha as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday. Pál Dárdai and his players spoke to the press after the game about their mixed emotions regarding the team’s performance.
Pál Dárdai: We moved the ball around nicely in the first twenty minutes and had a good chance to make it 2-0, however then we gifted them with a chance and Frankfurt brought the score level. The second half was a very physical, yet even affair. I blame our complacency for conceding the second goal. The question here is: why did we stop playing properly after twenty minutes?
Niko Kovac: We did not start well today. We played badly for the first twenty minutes and fell behind to an early goal. Hertha slacked off a little after taking the lead which allowed us to get back into the game. Our performance improved after we got the equaliser. It is never easy to beat Hertha at home; however, I think we certainly deserved to win today.
Davie Selke: Our opponents barely had any chances in the first thirty minutes. It is not like us to concede from a corner and then they managed to get in front after an individual mistake. Frankfurt sat behind the ball for most of the game and just hoofed it forward, however they were the team to walk away with the three points. I do not know how we managed to lose that one. We started so well and deserved to come away with at least a point. Our aim for the second half of the season remains exactly the same: to win every game.
Marvin Plattenhardt: I think we played well in the first half but slacked off too much in the second. We cannot afford to do that at home. We did still manage to create chances though and perhaps needed just a little bit of luck. We are all disappointed that we gifted them with the chance to score a second goal. Now we have to pull ourselves together and focus on our next task.
Kevin-Prince Boateng: I am going to be honest here, I played dreadfully today (laughs). We knew it was going to be a difficult game today. Hertha got off to a good start. It took us a good twenty-five minutes to switch on, but we have been able to comeback from setbacks like that this season. I did not celebrate my goal out of respect for Hertha and their fans.
