Hertha drawn against SV Darmstadt 98
Hertha BSC will travel to Darmstadt for the second round of the DFB-Pokal after the draw was made on Sunday 26th August.

Berlin – Track-and-field athlete Gina Lückenkemper was responsible for Hertha drawing another away game in the DFB-Pokal, with Darmstadt the destination for Pál Dárdai’s men. The second round tie will take place on the 30th or 31st October at the Böllenfalltor. “We are excited to be playing Darmstadt in the second round and expect it to be a good game. Previous games with them have always been played in a great spirit and in front of great crowds. Darmstadt have a fantastic fan culture as well,” commented Pál Dárdai. “We know that a good opponent and a loud crowd will be awaiting us there. However we have very good memories from our last trip to the Böllenfalltor and are looking forward to it,” said Michael Preetz.
In other DFB-Pokal games, RB Leipzig will face TSG Hoffenheim, Borussia Mönchengladbach will host Bayer Leverkusen in a derby and Union Berlin will travel to face Borussia Dortmund. There are 15 other Bundesliga teams left in, nine 2. Bundesliga and 3. Liga teams excluding Darmstadt. Three fourth-division teams, Flensburg, Rödinghausen and Ulm will go into the second round as underdogs, as well as the only fifth-division left in, BSG Chemie Leipzig.
