Karim Rekik and Maxi Mittelstädt pick up injuries

Following the victory against Schalke both players had to sit out of training. Rekik will not be available to play against Wolfsburg, while it still remains uncertain if Mittelstädt will play.

After an impressive 2-0 win over Schalke it wasn’t all celebrations for Hertha. Maxmilian Mittelstädt’s injury means he will not be able to join the Germany U21s squad during the international break. Injuries to his ankle and wrist meant he left Gelsenkirchen wearing a brace. Whether he will play against Wolfsburg remains unclear. Six minutes into the Schalke game, Karim Rekik had to leave the field. A post-match medical examination confirmed he has suffered a muscle injury in the adductor region. He will not be available to play against Wolfsburg.
