On Thursday (06/09/18), Hertha BSC won a friendly against Hertha 03 Zehlendorf. On his comeback, Davie Selke made the score sheet.

Coach Pál Dárdai’s Hertha team beat their partner club 3-0 in a friendly on Thursday evening. From kickoff, it was the Bundesliga club that was on top and set the tone for the game. However, at the break, the match was still scoreless.
It wasn’t until the 56th minute that Hertha BSC took the lead. The goal came from a set piece when Muhammed Kiprit’s delightful free kick sailed into the back of the net from 20 metres out. Following the goal Dárdai bought on young players Omar Rekik, Julian Albrecht, and Mateo Kastrati. Hertha BSC remained on top, but chances were rare. The second goal finally came in the 82nd minute thanks to Davie Selke who made his return to the team after injury. Two minutes later, on the 84-minute mark, the win was secured through a goal from Per Skjelbred. “We have trained hard this week, and so today was a good game for us. It would have been even better if we had managed to make the most of our chances in the first half,” commented Dárdai after the game.
Hertha will train again on Friday morning and then will have the weekend off. Preparation for the Wolfsburg game starts on Monday.
