Jastrzembski has cause for celebration

The speedy winger celebrated a 2-1 win over Slovakia with the German U19s on Monday afternoon. Sunday saw Rune Jarstein and Ondrej Duda taste defeat in the Nations League for their respective home nations.

On Sunday (09/09/18), Rune Almenning Jarstein had to pick up the ball from the back of his net for the first time since Hertha’s DFB-Pokal game against Braunschweig. The keeper’s three-game run without conceding for club and country came to an end when Norway suffered a 1-0 loss in their UEFA Nations League game against Bulgaria. Norway currently sit second in Group 3 of League C with three points from two games.
Ondrej Duda also suffered defeat when his home nation of Slovakia lost 1-0 against Ukraine. Hertha’s number ten was subbed on half way through the second half. The game against Ukraine was Slovakia’s first in the Nations League and means they currently sit at the bottom of Group 1 in League B. In October, they will face the Czech Republic who have also failed to pick any points thus far.
Jastrzembski gets a win with Germany U19s
Dennis Jastrzembski has cause for celebration after he featured in the Germany U19s team that overcame Slovakia 2-1 in Rüsselsheim on Monday (10/09/18). The Hertha youngster was subbed on after an hour. Like Jarstein and Duda, he has now returned to Berlin. However, Javairo Dilrosun remains on international duty. He forms part of the Netherlands U20 side that will face England in Katwijk on Monday evening (kick off 19.00). On Tuesday (kick off 18.30), Arne Maier and Jordan Torunarigha are set to play for the Germany U21s in their important European championship qualification match against Ireland. Valentino Lazaro will also play for his home nation of Austria when they face Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Nations League (kick off 20.45).
