Alexander Esswein has left Hertha BSC on loan for the rest of the season.
VfB Stuttgart have signed Hertha BSC striker Alexander Esswein on loan for the second half of the season. “It is very important for Essi that he starts playing regularly again,” said sporting director Michael Preetz.
Alexander Esswein moved to Hertha BSC in the summer of 2016 from FC Augsburg and has played 52 games. The 28-year-old has scored four goals and got five assists for the capital club. The striker has not featured for the senior team this season but has scored two goals in five games for the U23s in the Regionalliga Northeast.
