Training update

Arne Maier, Javairô Dilrosun, Mathew Leckie, Peter Pekarik and Jordan Torunarigha all trained individually on Tuesday. Hertha will face Werder Bremen on Saturday (16/02/19, 18:30 CET).

The Herthaner started their preparation for the game against Werder Bremen on Saturday (16/02/19, 18:30 CET) at the Olympiastadion. The capital club will be playing under the floodlights once again. “Bremen are a team, who want to play good football and you could see in the last game, that they are very good. It will be a hard game,” said Maximilian Mittelstädt, who scored two goals in a training game.

The game against Werder will have a big impact on the two team’s positions in the table. “We still have some more time, to really perfect how we will play,” said Pál Dárdai. The head coach did not announce what tactics he will implement for the game on Saturday. “Maybe we will play with two strikers,” said the Hungarian. Valentino Lazaro will be available again after serving his one match suspension and could be played on the right wing, with Lukas Klünter at right-back behind him, having put in a very good performance last week against Gladbach.

Trio back training individually

Six Herthaners trained individually today: Arne Maier, Javairô Dilrosun, Mathew Leckie, Peter Pekarik, Jordan Torunarigha and Marius Gersbeck. “Jordan will join first team training on Wednesday. Mathew, Javairô and Peter will work this week with Hendrik Vieth. We need to monitor Arne everyday and see when he can return to us,” said Dárdai.

After playing three games last week, the Berliners have finally returned to their regular training week. On Wednesday and Thursday, fans will be able to view the training sessions, hopefully with Torunarigha and Maier.
