Jordan Torunarigha sustains another injury

The defender injured his ankle while playing for the Germany U21s and has been sidelined for the moment.

Jordan Torunarigha sustained an injury to the capsule and ligamentous apparatuses in his left ankle on Sunday, while training with the Germany U21s. For now, the defender will miss out on training and match practice.

Due to a bone marrow edema that the 21-year-old has also sustained, the young Hertha centre-back will have to wear a protective boot for around a week to take the strain off his ankle. “Injuries are part and parcel of football. We’ve got to accept this and Jordan must recover.”
