Draws for Duda and Pekarik, Redan and Darida in action tonight

The Blue-White international players represented their countries again on Sunday (13/10/19, while Daishawn Redan and Vladimir Darida are in action on Monday (14/10/19).

Berlin – Hertha’s men on international duty started the weekend off with a bang, as Vladimir Darida’s Czech Republic side picked up a 2-1 win over England, before Rune Jarstein and Norway grabbed a 1-1 draw with Spain. However, Sunday turned out to be a lot quieter from a Hertha point of view. Despite having already qualified for the group stages of the European Championships, Dedryck Boyata and Belgium were still faced with the task of travelling to Kazakhstan for another qualifying game. The Red Devils took the game seriously and enjoyed their eighth win in a row; however the Hertha man failed to make an appearance in the 2-0 victory.
Duda plays in friendly against Paraguay – Darida up against Northern Ireland
Ondrej Duda played for the Slovakian national team in Bratislava last night, drawing 1-1 in a friendly match against Paraguay. Duda played in a goalless first half, while Pekarik failed to make an appearance. “We let some players play tonight who haven’t had much game time during our qualifying campaign. We wanted to win the game, but we also knew that we were up against a good opponent – Paraguay proved this with the way they came back after we took the lead,” Slovakia’s head coach Pavel Hapal said about the game. “Overall, I’m very happy with the draw and I’m glad that we didn’t lose!”
Two more Herthaner will be in international action on Monday (14/10/19): Daishawn Redan and the Netherlands U19s travel to Latvia for their European Championship qualifier against Israel. The Hertha man will want to build on his last performance for his country as he picked up two goals and two assists in an emphatic 8-2 win. Vladimir Darida will also be in action in the evening: The midfielder will line up with his native Czech Republic side in a friendly game against Germany’s group rivals, Northern Ireland.
