We start the week with Wolf
We begin the week with Wolf!

On Tuesday (15/10/19), the Herthaner began the week’s team training session with a returning player ahead of the away match in Bremen.
Berlin - For many people, mid autumn is the most beautiful time of year. Sunshine and the play of nature’s colours make it a great period, in which to spend time outdoors; Hertha’s training session ahead of the game against SV Werder Bremen was no exception. The Berliners hope to cap off a glorious autumnal week in the Hanseatic city with a fourth consecutive Bundesliga victory.
Trio in individual training
Ante Covic was pleased to welcome back Marius Wolf to the squad, as he took part in the group session at Schenckendorffplatz and contributed to a session that saw the squad put in a lot of hard work. Meanwhile, Per Skjelbred and Eduard Löwen worked with athletic trainer Hendrik Vieth, Javairo Dilrosun joined the pair after the morning session had ended. “Per will most likely join the team again on Wednesday. With Edu we will have to wait and see what the reaction to the strain is, he will probably be out longer than ‘Schelle’ because he had a longer break, so will need a bit more time to get up to speed,” Coach Coric gave an insight into his plans for the week, in which Coric can hope to have Hertha’s international players available to him again. “Most of them are coming back on Tuesday, Daishawn Redan and Mathew Leckie are back in Berlin on Wednesday,”, Coric confirmed.
Stark’s involvement unclear, Rekik and Torunarigha are ready to step in
It is still unclear as to whether Niklas Stark will be able to play in Bremen. The central defender was treated in the dressing room after sustaining an injury while away with the Germany national team. “It is a bitter story for him. He has a cut, and we must wait and see how the healing process goes. It is not clear yet whether he will be fit enough for Bremen,” said Covic, who gave encouragement to his number 5. “If he trains hard here in Berlin, he will get the chance to come to Bremen. He knows this,” said the coach. Should Stark miss the werder game, Karim Rekik and Jordan Torunarigha are ready to take his place. “Both of them are good enough, and of course they aren’t happy with the amount of minutes they have played. It is important that when you get the chance, you get stuck in and contribute to positive results,” said the Hertha boss, adding “that’s how you make a coach’s life difficult!” That’s every Hertha player hopes for, and they will have further opportunities to impress in public training sessions on Monday (15:00 CEST) and in double sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday (10:00 and 15:00 CEST). Thursday’s and Friday’s sessions are not open to the public and on Saturday it is all about grabbing those Bundesliga points in Bremen!
