Vedad Ibisevic, Per Skjelbred, Marko Grujic, Maximilian Mittelstädt and goalscorer Dodi Lukebakio all gave their reactions after the game against Werder.

After a pulsating 90 minutes, Ante Covic’s men will take home a well-earned point from Werder Bremen. “We can live with a point, we fought really well but it just didn’t happen for us today,” said Vedad Ibisevic after the final whistle. We collected all the post-match quotes.

Vedad Ibisevic: We can live with a point, we fought really well but it just didn’t happen for us today. We should have had a penalty in the first half, it’s a shame that the referee didn’t blow his whistle. If it’s not a penalty then he has to book me for diving surely.

Dodi Lukebakio: The coach told me to give it everything I have just before I came on, so I did, and we’ve managed to come away with a point. We will continue to focus ourselves and work hard during the week so we can grab three points at home to Hoffenheim next week.

Per Skjelbred: We’re capable of playing good football, we’ve shown that at times, but today the final ball was lacking. Of course our confidence was sky high after three wins on the bounce, and when we played with confidence, we caused Bremen problems today. It was a great equaliser from Dodi Lukebakio – he got a great assist against Düsseldorf too but it was important for him to score today. Next week we have the chance to get the three points against Hoffenheim.

Maximilian Mittelstädt: We can be pleased with a point. It’s never easy coming to Bremen, but we played some good football at times today and we put Werder under pressure. It’s never simple to come away with the three points but in the past few weeks we’ve been making big steps forward. We create plenty of chances but not all of them turn in to goals.

Marko Grujic: It’s easy to lose a bit of your rhythm during an international break sp it was important for us to come away with at least a point. I’m pleased with the performance and now we’re unbeaten in four games. We want to keep this run going now!
