Jürgen Klinsmann spoke about his start at Hertha BSC, getting goals, and the intense game coming up against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jürgen Klinsmann has been the new coach of Hertha BSC for eight days now, taking charge of one game. He’s also overseen a dozen training sessions now, and has had talks with players, staff and colleagues alike. In his eight days in charge, the new manager has also given four press conferences, the latest of which was on Thursday ahead of the game against Frankfurt on Friday. “In our situation it’s all about hard work. As a coaching team we have to give the team confidence, let them make mistakes but correct them and guide them to improvement. It’s important for the boys to find themselves a little and really get in to a rhythm,” said the former European and World champion. The coach also knows exactly what awaits him for the game on Friday night. “Frankfurt have a good team and they’ve earned a lot of respect this season. We know that they are very physical and play with a lot of energy. That could really open up the game but we're looking forward to it because it should be a cracker and we want to get as many points as possible out of the match,” said the former striker, who will have to do with the suspended Rune Jarstein and injured Mathew Leckie for Friday’s game.

Michael Preetz also showed Frankfurt plenty of respect for their recent achievements. “It was an incredible thing for Frankfurt to win the DFB-Pokal and there was so much euphoria surrounding the team when they did. That's lead them to a successful Europa League campaign which has really caused a stir,” said Hertha’s sporting director.
