Preparations to begin on 29th December

The Herthaner will begin their preparations for the second half of the season a few days earlier than previously planned.

Berlin – Just two Bundesliga matches remain ahead of the winter break. But, Hertha are already planning for the start of the second half of the season. The Blue-Whites will begin preparations on 29th December, several days earlier than planned. “Given our current situation, we will have to do a bit more work than we would have had to do had we been in the top half of the table," said head coach Jürgen Klinsmann. "Due to the fact that we’re opening the second half of the season against Bayern München at home on 19th January, we knew that we would have to take a shorter holiday and that we needed a few more days of training.”

The Herthaner have adjusted their plans for the winter break accordingly. While the first-team training camp will take place as planned in Orlando, Florida, starting on 2nd January, the friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt has been moved up a day. The match will now kick off on 8th January at 19:00 local time in the Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, FL. The Blue-Whites will then return to Germany to face the record champions from Munich on Sunday (19.01.20, at 15:30 CET) at home in the Olympiastadion.
