Jürgen Klinsmann told numerous anecdotes from his impressive footballing life on Thursday evening (19/12/19) in the fourth episode of the Hertha OnAir podcast, on Friday afternoon (20/12/19) the head coach focused exclusively on the home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday at the Olympic Stadium. At the final match day press conference of the year, the 55-year-old, who sat on the podium together with Sporting Director Michael Preetz, talked to the media representatives present about the game against the current runners-up. "We want to take the momentum from the last two games and get the next three points against a strong opponent. It would be extremely important to take another success with us, it would do us good, the fans as well as the team," said Coach Klinsmann who has to do without the suspended Marko Grujic for the game. Despite having to change up the midfield, the Berlin coach is looking forward to the final of the first round with euphoria. "We are full of anticipation for this game and want to finish the Hinrunde positively. The boys are in a good mood and we hope that after the Leverkusen victory we can add one more to the list!"

Michael Preetz - addressed by a journalist - gave a brief review of the year. "We are going through an incredibly exciting time. Of course we imagined the first half of the season going a little differently. Nevertheless, we have picked up speed in the past few weeks and against Gladbach we have the opportunity to finish off the Hinrunde in style," Preetz underlined. "We have a lot to do - but it is extremely exciting what has happened in Berlin in the past few months and, above all, we’re excited about what lies ahead!"
