Bundesliga Home Challenge: Round two

Following a successful opening fixture against Paderborn last weekend, Maximilian Mittelstädt and Elias Nerlich will face SC Freiburg on matchday 2 on Saturday (04.04.20, 16:20C CEST).

Things couldn’t have gotten off to a better start for Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga Home Challenge last Saturday (28.03.20) against Paderborn. Although Maximilian Mittelstädt fought had for a 2-2 draw in his match, Hertha’s esports start Elias celebrating a convincing 4-1 start. Next up is SC Freiburg, represented by two first team players Mark Flekken and Nico Schlotterbeck. “I’m looking forward to round two of the ‘Bundesliga Home Challenge’,” Elias Nerlich told herthabsc.de. “It’s a great format, I have to compliment to the DFL and the participating club all making this possible.”

How does the 'Bundesliga Home Challenge' work?: The 'Bundesliga Home Challenge' was organised by the DFL in order to fill the football-free weekends during the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. All participating clubs will be represented by at least one first team player, as well as a second from within the club. Each of the two players will play one game and the results of these will be combined into an aggregate score. There is no table of final prize.
