Bundesliga Home Challenge on Easter Weekend

Striker Pascal Köpke and Hertha eSports professional Tom Bismark are taking over on the console from Maximilian Mittelstädt and Elias Nerlich. The last matchday of the Bundesliga Home Challenge wasn’t a successful one for the capital club, as Hertha fell to a 12-7 defeat to SC Freiburg. The change in personnel is not a consequence of the game against the men from Breisgau, as Tom Bismark explained: “in a competition with this great format, all of us want to have a go. From the start, we said we’d rotate, and I’m happy to be flying the blue-and-white flag together with Pascal.”
SC Dynamo Dresden also have a record of one loss (matchday 1 vs. Eintracht Frankfurt) and one win (matchday 2 vs. Bayer Leverkusen). Kick-off for Saturday’s match is not yet confirmed.
In attendance at home: Hertha fans can follow the action on herthabsc.de, the Hertha app and on the club’s YouTube channel. The DFL are showing every Home Challenge match live on the Virtual Bundesliga YouTube channel. In addition, Hertha’s social media will also be covering the games.
Here’s how the Bundesliga Home Challenge works: The Home Challenge was conceived by the DFL as a means to fill these empty weekends with football. Every participating club may nominate one member of the professional playing staff and one other player from the club. Each team member plays one game. Results from the two games are added together to form a final overall score. There is no table or collection of points.
