The excitement over the 4-0 win in the derby against Union is still present amongst the Blue-Whites, although their next challenge is fast approaching. On Wednesday (27.05.20, 18:30 CEST), the Herthaner will kick off matchday 28 away at Leipzig. “Leipzig are one of the top teams in the Bundesliga, and we will need to deliver a top-notch performance in order to stop them,” said Bruno Labbadia during a pre-match press conference on Monday. “We will need to hold fast and work collectively against their style of play. Challenges like this help us to grow as a team!”
Michael Preetz also underlined the challenge awaiting the Herthaner on Wednesday. “RB have a lot of quality across the board and are difficult to outplay given that they have several options available to use as a response. We need to play at our best, need to be highly focused and clinical in order to get a good result,” said the sporting director. “We’re all happy to have restarted the season on the right foot, but are trying to remain grounded in order to continue picking up points.”
