"We play as a team."

At the end of a double game week, it’s often about collecting those last little scraps of engird and using them to try and be successful. Hertha BSC did exactly that on Saturday in their game with FC Augsburg. After a very positive first half going forward, the team showed they are more than capable of sitting back and defending too, with Krzysztof Piatek breaking quickly on the counter and scoring the second goal in a 2-0 victory. “We are playing as a team - we all fight for one another. Our best attribute at the moment is that we making up for each other's mistakes,” said Maximilian Mittelstädt on the defensive solidity of the Herthaner. “We are obviously pleased with the win and our recent results,” said Hertha’s number 17. We collected all the post match reaction.
Rune Jarstein: It was an important win! We played so well in the first half, and then we quieted down in the second. Despite that though, we managed to grab the three points. It’s been a great week for us, we’ve been really good under our new coach and we’re rising up the table with each passing week. We’ve become a real team. We just have to take ach game as it comes now and continue to try and improve our game. We’re looking up table now, the gap is only four points which isn’t a lot.
Maximilian Mittelstädt: We are playing as a team - we all fight for one another. Our best attribute at the moment is that we making up for each other's mistakes. We knew that today's game would be a tough battle. Augsburg put us under a lot of pressure in the second half. We are obviously pleased with the win and our recent results. We have taken on Bruno Labbadia's ideas and are working well as a team, something that had been missing previously. We want to continue this good run in the final few weeks. Today's victory has increased our lead over the bottom few teams, so we can now play without any huge pressure on us.
