Pekarik and Zeefuik injury update

Hertha’s right backs Peter Pekarik and Deyovaisio Zeefuik picked up pelvic and thigh injuries respectively during Sunday’s match VfB Stuttgart. Further tests will be carried out.

There is more bad news after the loss to Stuttgart, in that two Hertha players have joined the injury list. During the 2-0 defeat, head coach Bruno Labbadia was forced into substituting both Peter Pekarik and Deyovaisio Zeefuik due to injury. Initial tests have revealed a pelvic bruise for Pekarik, while Zeefuik suffered a muscular injury in his thigh. “We hope that it’s not too serious for either of them, but we have to wait for the results of further tests. We will know by the middle of the week,” said head coach Bruno Labbadia on Sunday (18/10). It is yet to be seen how long the two right backs will be unavailable for.
