"A deserved away win!"

The boys from Berlin were over the moon with their second win of the season on Saturday. Alexander Schwolow, Niklas Stark, Vladimír Darida & co. expressed their delight with the 3-0 win in Augsburg.
Bruno Labbadia demanded that the team take a step forwards in the match away to Augsburg, and the players certainly did so. The blue-and-whites put in an impressive performance on Saturday, just as they did last weekend against Wolfsburg. This time around, they were rewarded with a comfortable 3-0 win in the Fuggerstadt. Labbadia’s men were pleased with the long-awaited three points: “We stuck to the plan, we created chances and secured a deserved away win,” said Vladimír Darida after the victory in Bavaria. herthabsc.de summarises the post-match reaction.
Alexander Schwolow: This feels unbelievably good after our dry spell. Three points and a clean sheet. That’s great for me as well – what more can you ask for? As a goalkeeper, it’s special to keep a clean sheet. Obviously I can’t always influence whether we achieve that or not, but it feels good – especially because I was able to contribute by denying my old teammate Florian Niederlechner!
Niklas Stark: This win is so important, especially considering the way that we did it, keeping the clean sheet. We knew what was riding on the match and we wanted to take the three points at all costs. We are really happy that we managed to do that. I enjoy my role in midfield; I feel really comfortable there and I know how to play the role from years gone by. Playing alongside Mattéo, we will get better and better with time – we obviously have to gel, but that’s completely normal when new players come in. It’s fun to play with these lads!

Marvin Plattenhardt: Full credit to the team – everyone gave 100 percent. We had hoped to be tight at the back, aggressive in the press and brave on the attack. We did that really well for the whole match and we deserved the win. Augsburg had the chance to equalise, but then we scored the second goal. That was crucial in this match, as it gave us some breathing space. The third goal was the clincher. I’m happy that I was able to start the match and I tried to help the team with my quality, but I’m even happier that it resulted in three points.
Vladimír Darida: We were really patient with the ball, we took up good positions. Augsburg made life hard for us, as they were well-organised with their 4-4-2. We stuck to the plan, though. We created chances and secured a deserved away win.
Matheus Cunha: That was an important win in an important match. We put a lot in as a team and really helped one another out on the pitch. That was important. After taking the lead, and especially after our second goal, we were able to find more space and we upped the ante again with the third goal. For penalties, I look at the goalkeeper and his movements. I did him with the eyes a little and was able to score, thankfully.
Dodi Lukébakio: It’s important for us to head into the international break having tasted victory. A 1-0 lead doesn’t mean anything in football, so we knew that we had to keep working hard and not allow them to score. Then Krzysztof saw me in the box and picked me out with a cross, the defender was unable to clear and I finished off the move. Bruno Labbadia’s plan was perfect, but it wasn’t just the coach who achieved this win, but the players as well. We definitely have quality in the squad and for us it’s about winning games to build confidence for the fixtures to come.
Krzysztof Piątek: I am really happy that we won and that I was able to help the team. The win was really important. My goal obviously feels good – for me personally, it was important to get more minutes on the pitch so that I could have more of an impact. He said...
