After losing to TSG Hoffenheim, Hertha want to put things right with a win as quickly as possible. Fortunately, the next game is just around the corner. On Saturday evening, SV Werder Bremen come to the Olympiastadion. “We need to find some consistency in front of goal and make better use of our chances. What’s important against Werder is that we deal with our own mistakes in a better way than on Tuesday – we need to be more patient in our heads. This is how the opposition will test us," said Bruno Labbadia, pointing out some potential key to success at Thursday afternoon’s press conference. The head coach is expected to have the same players as in previous games available to him, but, without revealing anything, he mentioned not wishing to rule out any changes to the team. "We are currently thinking about who to play, but haven’t reached any decisions yet, since we still have some training sessions ahead of us."
While Labbadia previewed the coming game and talked about the opposition, the journalists asked Michael Preetz about the general situation at the club. "We’re not underestimating the current situation. We are not happy with the points tally. Our position in the table means our duty is to increase the gap to the bottom as quickly as possible," said the managing director for sport, pointing out the number one priority, before addressing the imminent game: "I’ve been at this club a really long time and I have experienced some fantastic moments – some difficult ones too. This is the same in sport as it is in life: the sun doesn’t always shine on you. When you find yourself in one of these situations, you have to be equal to it and keep your energy levels high. We are trying to put this situation behind us as quickly as we can and turn it into something positive!"
