Learning Centre @ Hertha BSC
The rich history of the Blue-Whites’ home, the Olympiastadion, makes it an ideal place for young people to further their political education. Since 2010, the Learning Center @ Hertha BSC fan project has been offering versatile workshops for young Berliners.
Swapping the classroom for a football stadium, the Learning Centre offers an extraordinary location for an educational experience for of its participating classes. Through the cooperation with Hertha Berlin, students can collect unique impressions and gain insights into the operations of a Bundesliga club. On site, the project staff make use of the enthusiasm for football and its potential. This is intended to introduce young people, who find traditional methods inaccessible, to political educational content and strengthen their social skills. On the project days, students focus on topics such as racism, fundamental rights, respect and tolerance. The Learning Centre project is aimed at teenagers and young adults between 12 and 20 years old from secondary, public, special needs and vocational schools, as well as youth and fan groups.
Registration and more information are available on the Learning Centre's official website.
