Circuit training may not be the favourite form of training for many footballers, however it’s simply part and parcel of every pre-season. Sandro Schwarz’s players would most likely agree with this after Thursday’s second session. Aside from Davie Selke, missing for private reasons, all the players who trained on Wednesday were involved.
The Hertha players were split up into four groups and completed six different stations of the circuit. Marvin Plattenhardt & Co. had to deal with medicine balls and dumbbells, as well as complete a number of sprints. Fitness coach Hendrik Kuchno was the man in charge here. “Come on, lads. It’s important to do a number of repetitions!” said Kuchno. The 90-minute session was rounded off with some stability and strengthening exercises.
