Friendlies against Derby County and West Brom

Hertha’s second training camp of the summer will take place at St. George’s park, the training base of the England national team. It has also been confirmed that Sandro Schwarz’s side will play two friendlies whilst in England. On 16th July, Hertha will travel to the East Midlands to face Wayne Rooney’s Derby County at Pride Park (16:00 CEST). The Rams were relegated from the Championship last season and are currently in the third tier of English football.

Just before our stay in England comes to a close, The Old Lady will face West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on 23rd July (16:00 CEST). The Hawthorns is 168 metres above sea level and is the highest ground in English football. After relegation from the Premier League in 2021, the Baggies finished tenth in the Championship last term.

Five friendlies have now been confirmed for this summer’s pre-season. Following the clash with TuS Makkabi Berlin on 29th June, Hertha will face SV Babelsberg 03 on 2nd July and FC Energie Cottbus on 8th July. Schwarz’s side are also scheduled to face a Premier League on 20th July.
