"It’s a difficult day"
Hertha BSC were relegated to the second division on matchday 33 after a 1-1 draw against VfL Bochum. “It’s a difficult day. It really hurts,” said Oliver Christensen after the full time whistle. “This game was a reflection of our season in one match. We weren’t clinical enough.” herthabsc.com have the reaction to the game.
Oliver Christensen: It’s a difficult today. We scored the important goal and played well over the 90 minutes, but it wasn’t enough in the end. It really hurts. Of course we had chances to score the second goal, but keeping the clean sheet would have been much more important. We simply shouldn’t have let that happen, at home in such an important game. This game was a reflection of our season in one match. We weren’t clinical enough at the end of the day.
Prince Boateng:
You can’t make any criticism of the team; they gave their all and played well. The relegation isn’t just a result of today. It’s just really painful. I love this club and I feel broken. I can’t process it yet, it’s just really sad.

Maximilian Mittelstädt: It’s difficult to try and analyse what the problems were and why the whole season went badly straight after the game. It’s so disappointing because we could have avoided it. Everybody now needs to come to terms with what’s happened. We’ve got one game to go in Wolfsburg next weekend and we want to finish the season with a good performance.
