Eitschberger joins Hallescher FC on loan

Hertha BSC have loaned Julian Eitschberger to third-division side Hallescher FC for the remainder of the season. “For a young player like Eitschi, it’s important to see regular playing time at the highest possible level. We’re convinced of his potential and hope that he is able to return from this loan spell as a stronger player and having collected valuable experience,” said sporting director Benjamin Weber. “For me, it comes down to playing at a high level, to develop and to return to Hertha BSC having improved as a player,” said the right-back.

The 19-year-old joined the Hertha academy in 2017 and has featured for several of the clubs youth sides. The Germany youth international signed a professional contract with the Old Lady last summer that is valid until 2026. Eitschberger has featured in 26 Regionalliga matches for the Blue-Whites, as well as two games in the Bundesliga.
