Kevin Sessa signs for Hertha BSC

Hertha have bolstered their ranks for next season with the signing of Kevin ‘Diego’ Sessa! The central midfielder has put pen to paper on a contract until 2027. “We’re very happy that Kevin has decided to join our project at Hertha BSC. He’s an all-action, versatile player who already has a lot of experience despite his young age, and has shown his qualities in both the first and second tiers,” said sporting director Benjamin Weber. “The club itself was a big factor in my decision. It’s a huge club with a lot of influence. The fans, the stadium and the city also appealed to me straight away,” the 23-year-old new arrival himself said.

In the Bundesliga season just gone, the Stuttgart-born player, who carries both German and Argentinian citizenship, made 30 appearances for 1. FC Heidenheim, scoring three times. He has been at Heidenheim since joining the club’s U17 side in 2017. Sessa made his 2. Bundesliga debut in March 2018, when he became the youngest player in FCH’s history. He went on to feature 89 times in that league, finding the back of the net on seven occasions. Our new signing was also part of Heidenheim’s squad who won the second division title during the 2022/23 season.
