Off to Münster in the DFB-Pokal

The second-round draw is complete: Hertha will face Preußen Münster in the DFB-Pokal.

On the 26th or 27th October, the boys in Blue and White will travel to face Regionalliga side Preußen Münster, just as they did in 2009. The Western division league leaders are currently led by sporting director and former Hertha player Peter Niemeyer. "Our goal is to reach the last 16. We need to play with this conviction in Münster. However, we are aware that cup games against regional league sides can be very tricky. If we play as a team and keep our concentration levels high from the start, we have every chance of beating Preußen Münster and reaching the next round," said sporting director Arne Friedrich.

A stoppage-time goal by Davie Selke saw Hertha edge through the first round against SV Meppen at the beginning of August. At stake against Preußen Münster: A place in the Round of 16, which will be played on the 18th and 19th January. The final of this season’s competition will be played on 22nd May 2022 at our very own Olympiastadion.
