Javairô Dilrosun joins Bordeaux on loan

Javairô Dilrosun will leave Hertha to join French side FC Girondins de Bordeaux on a year-long loan. The 23-year-old has spent just over three years in Berlin, and will now join the Ligue 1 team for a change of scenery. Both clubs agreed the terms of the transfer on Tuesday. “Javairô is a good lad and there’s no doubt that he’s a talented footballer. But, his time at Hertha has seen his development interrupted by countless injury setbacks. The loan is meant to give Jav the opportunity to pick up game time and to return to us as a stronger player next year. We wish him all the best,” said managing director for sport, Fredi Bobic.

58 games, 14 goal involvements

A product of the Ajax academy, Dilrosun joined Manchester City in 2014 and played for the club’s youth sides. Four years later, he made the move to Berlin. The winger made a total of 58 appearances in the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal for the ‘Old Lady,’ scoring six goals and setting up a further eight. The Amsterdam native also picked up one assist in four matches with the Hertha U23s in the Regionalliga Nordost.
